 WHAT IS THE SPARTAN VIRTUAL RACE

viRACE - The app viRace conducts virtual running competitions and allows participants to compete with friends and colleagues. Start on 31st December 00.01am at a time of your choice and finishing on the 3rd January 2021 23.59pm, and compare yourself live with the runners who have already started. The app informs you live about the intermediate results via headphones.

This race is open to everyone. Just sign up, and you're in- so the perfect time to invite some friends of yours that always found an excuse not to come to a Spartan Race.

 RACE CATEGORIES IN THIS RACE

 Focus of this race is for you to get some action, have fun and connect with other Spartans! The only race category is Open : open for everyone. You can compare yourself live with the runners who have already started. The app informs you live about the intermediate results via headphones.

 START HEAT: WHEN CAN I START?

Whenever between the 31st December 00.01am to January 3rd 23.59pm. 

 HOW DOES IT WORK?

1. Sign up HERE and received in the confirmation email a code to register in the challenge via the application viRace. 

2. Download app
   Download the app from the App Store / Google Play Store to your cell phone here.
   
   

3. Registration in the app
   Register in the app with the code you received. To do this, click on the "lock" icon 
   in the upper right corner. After successful registration you are registered for the run.
   
   

4. App settings
   To ensure the functionality of the app, it is important to make a few app settings. Click on the following link and follow the instructions: HERE
   
   

5. Mark favorites
   On the details page of the race in the app, all currently activated participants* are listed. If you click on the icon to the left of a participant, you mark the runner* as a favorite. This means that during the run you will also receive updates and intermediate results for these people. Of course, this only works if the favorites have already run or are running at the same time as you.
   
   

6. The run
   The active run will be visualized by an orange tile at the top of the feed.
   Just click on "Go to race page" to get to the warm-up room. Before you "enter" the virtual warm-up room, we recommend you to go outside and make sure you have good reception.
   
   

7. Start of the race
   Once you are in the warm-up room, you do not have to do anything to start the race. The voice of the app will keep you informed about the personal countdown to the start through the headphones to keep you updated. 10 seconds before the start, the countdown begins, and at 0 the race will start automatically. The countdown can also be canceled manually and the race can be started early.

 RULES, RESULTS AND RANKINGS

The ranking will be publish directly in the application event.

HOW DO I GET MY SHIRT/BUFF AND CERTIFICATE?

The shirt and buff will be send from the 10 of January.
The certificate will be send directly after the race by mail.
